Book lovers, bird lovers, nature lovers, conservationists, ecologists and everyone who loves the outdoors are invited to attend a talk by Dr. Bridget Stutchbury at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday April 11, 2015 in The Sanctuary, St. Andrews Church, 425 Centre Street, Prescott, Ontario. There is no admission charge but donations will be welcomed. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Stutchbury is a Professor of Biology at York University and the author of "The Bird Detective" and "Silence of the Song Birds", which was short listed for a Governor General's Award for Non-Fiction. She heads the Stutchbury lab which does research on the conservation biology and ecology of migratory songbirds in North America.

The evening will be Chaired by Dr. James A. Holmes the Vice Chair of Ducks Unlimited. Music to relax and inspire you will be played on Harp and Guitar by the duo Harpeggia. Money raised will be given to the Prescott Library to provide added support to its programs and services.

The Friends of the Prescott Library in Prescott, Ontario was started during the summer of 2014 with the purpose of supporting the services and programs of our public library as well as advocating literacy and enhancing residents' pleasure in books. Since then we have offered exciting literary, story telling, educational and fun events for people of all ages in and around Prescott, the St. Lawrence and Rideau Valleys and Northern New York State.
